WHICH ROUTE
Best when you have a project to describe. Give us your name, phone, email, town, and a short description. Name the room or structure, the age and style of the house, and what made you start looking.
Better for short questions, such as whether we take on this kind of work, whether a permit is likely, or whether we cover your town.
The route for attachments. Architect’s drawings, an HOA packet, photographs, a previous contractor’s scope or a home inspection report all help the consultation start further along.
If trading voicemails is the part you dread, pick a slot from our calendar. It is the same free consultation without the back and forth.
THE CONSULTATION
A construction consultant comes to the house and walks the actual space with you. Remodel pricing depends on conditions a photograph won’t show, like where the load is carried, what the floor framing looks like, and whether the electrical panel has capacity left.
Say the budget you have in mind. The same kitchen at two different budgets is two different projects, and learning which one you have on the first visit beats finding out after a design is drawn. The visit produces a written scope that describes the work before it is priced.
Third-party financing is available, and there are discounts for seniors and veterans. Both are applied to the written proposal, so mention them before it is written. The consultation is free and carries no obligation.
BEFORE THE VISIT
Shoot the room from the doorway and from two corners, then photograph whatever is failing, like a ceiling stain or a flexing deck board.
Original plans, permit history and any HOA architectural guidelines can save time and settle questions early.
If it predates 1978, tell us, because federal rules govern work that disturbs old paint.
Permits are issued by the jurisdiction the property sits in, so naming the town early puts the permit route in the first conversation.
Where a truck can park, how wide the side gate is, whether there is a dog, and whether you will be living in the house during the work.
NEXT STEPS
We collect who you are, how to reach you, where the property is and what you want to do. Drawings, photos or an HOA packet can come with it.
A consultant walks the space with you, reads the conditions that drive the scope, and talks budget openly. Ask about the license, who is on site, how permits are handled, and how change orders are priced.
The work is described in writing before it is priced, so the number attaches to a specific list. Read what is excluded as closely as what is included.
Layout drawings, and 3D renderings where seeing it beforehand changes what you choose. Selections are made here, not mid-build.
The submittal goes to the jurisdiction the property sits in, and any HOA approval runs alongside it. Inspections are scheduled into the build.
One project manager stays with the job from the estimate through the last inspection. The walkthrough is where the punch list is written, worked and signed off.
QUICK ANSWERS
No. The visit is free with no obligation, and nobody has to sign anything for us to come look at the space.
Yes, along with anyone else involved in the decision. The valuable part is the conversation in the room, where you can point at what bothers you and hear what changing it involves.
Yes. We handle the permit process from submittal through approvals to inspections and sign-off. Our license is CSLB License #1142220, classification B, General Building.
Look up CSLB License #1142220 on the Contractors State License Board’s Check A License tool at cslb.ca.gov. It shows the status, classification, bond and workers’ compensation coverage on file.
San Jose is home ground, with regular work in Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Campbell, Los Gatos, Saratoga and Mountain View. We also serve Milpitas, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Menlo Park, Redwood City and Fremont. If your town isn’t listed, call and ask.
Yes. We run an indoor team for kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home remodels and ADUs, and an outdoor team for decks, pergolas and gazebos, all under one licensed general contractor.
