Full House RemodelSan Jose, California.

A San Jose home remodeled from the inside out: a new kitchen, two bathrooms, new flooring, rewired electrical, new plumbing, and a new interior railing.

THE PROJECT

About this project

  • New kitchen with an island and pendant lighting
  • Two remodeled bathrooms
  • New flooring throughout the home
  • Electrical rewired
  • Plumbing replaced
  • New interior stair railing

This full house remodel in San Jose brought the whole home up to date in one coordinated project. The work included a new kitchen, two remodeled bathrooms, new flooring throughout, and upgraded plumbing and electrical.

Much of the most important work happened behind the walls. We rewired the electrical and replaced the plumbing, so the new finishes sit on systems built to last, rather than on decades-old wiring and pipes.

The new kitchen opens to the living and dining areas, with white cabinetry, dark countertops, stainless steel appliances, and an island with pendant lights and seating. In both bathrooms, patterned accent tile, new vanities, and a tub-shower and a glass walk-in shower give each room its own character.

A new interior stair railing, with a wood handrail and black metal infill, complements the refreshed interior and ties the floors together.

By completing these improvements together, we created a more cohesive home, with updated spaces for cooking, gathering, and everyday living.

PROJECT QUESTIONS

Questions about this project

What was included in this San Jose full house remodel?

The remodel included a new kitchen, two remodeled bathrooms, new flooring throughout, rewired electrical, replaced plumbing, and a new interior stair railing, all completed by Avis Builders and Design as one project.

Should I rewire and replace plumbing during a whole-home remodel?

If the wiring or pipes are old, a whole-home remodel is the best time to replace them, because the walls are already open. Doing it now avoids opening finished walls later and lets new kitchens and bathrooms run on systems built to last.

Is it better to remodel the whole house at once?

Remodeling several rooms together lets the layout, systems, and finishes be planned as one design, with one schedule and one set of permits. It usually avoids repeated demolition and gives the home a more cohesive look than separate projects over many years.

Do you do whole-home remodels in San Jose?

Yes. Avis Builders and Design plans and builds whole-home remodels in San Jose and across the Bay Area, from design and permits to the final walkthrough. Every project starts with a free in-home consultation.
