This deck remodel in San Jose brought our client’s outdoor space a fresh start, from the structure underneath to the details used every day. The project focused on creating a durable deck with less upkeep, leaving more time to enjoy being outside.
We began with new pressure-treated framing and reinforced concrete footings, then installed premium PVC decking. A picture-frame border gave the deck a clean, finished edge, while custom stairs connected it to the surrounding yard.
The railing became part of how the space could be enjoyed. Composite railing with a drink rail offered a convenient spot to set down a cup while spending time outdoors. A built-in access door added another practical detail, keeping access available without interrupting the finished design.
Together, these changes turned the deck into a more inviting part of the home. The finished space combines the look of a carefully detailed deck with the everyday convenience of low-maintenance PVC decking.
